RI-6.1 AB BRAKE SYSTEM
RI-6.2 KC BRAKE SYSTEM AS ORDERED
These kits represent B2 Stockcar is 40’ long which were ordered and built for Rock Island railroad. These are not rebuilt from B2 boxcars. Cars were built by the Ryan Car Company in 1930 and lasted in some numbers until 1960's with the 75000 to 75249 series cars (totaling 250 cars) built in 1930 with KC brake system. In the 1960's some cars were at times modified for grain service by lining the car with plywood. The exact numbers of these cars are not available at this time.
The resin car kits come with all detail parts needed to build kit with the highlights of one piece roof , One piece sides with seperate door casting and door rail being separate for the none molded on look, real wood running boards, custom made details and grab irons, Tahoe Models Trucks WITH METAL WHEELS!, custom decals. The only thing the customer needs to provide is paint, couplers and time.

Rocket Express Models kit #RI-6.2 is kit with KC brake system as built which waqs outlawed by 1953 for interchange service.
